Device review
NuFACE TRINITY+ review
The reference device in this category, and the only one that will tell you how much current it delivers. The attachment pricing is the thing to be annoyed about.

Prices are checked live and stamped with the date they were read. No live price is held for these listings right now, so every button reads “Check price on Amazon” rather than showing a number we cannot stand behind. Last price check: October 13, 2026.
Specification
What you get
A handle delivering up to 340 microamps, with a Boost button adding 25 microamps - and if you run the device at its highest level with Boost engaged, NuFACE describes that as roughly 25 percent additional power. A built-in skin sensor adjusts intensity to the area being treated. Two-year warranty. The protocol is five sessions a week for sixty days, then two to three a week.
The attachments are where the system actually lives: the Facial Trainer twin spheres, the Effective Lip and Eye attachment, and the Wrinkle Reducer, which adds red LED. The Boost button works with the Facial Trainer and the Lip and Eye attachment but does not change the Wrinkle Reducer's output.
Output
The output figure, and why it carries this review
FOREO publishes no microamp figure. Medicube publishes none. MyoLift does not publish a ceiling for the Mini. ZIIP publishes a range, which is the only comparable disclosure in the category. NuFACE publishes a ceiling you can hold it to.
In a category where the current is the treatment, that is not a detail. It is the difference between a device you can evaluate and a device you have to trust. We go through the whole category's disclosure record here.
Regulation
Two clearances, and why the second one matters
K201782 covers the NuFace Trinity Plus Device, cleared 22 January 2021, applicant Carol Cole Company dba NuFACE, product code NFO - over-the-counter powered facial toning.
K212947 covers the Trinity Plus Wrinkle Reducer, cleared 2 April 2022, under product code OHS - light-based over-the-counter wrinkle reduction. That is a separate filing for an accessory, in the correct code for what the accessory does.
Filing separately for an attachment is the right behavior and it is rare. Plenty of devices in adjacent categories bolt an LED onto an existing product and keep marketing under the original clearance. NuFACE did not.
The brand's broader history runs to eight clearances in NFO going back to 2007, which is the deepest regulatory record of any brand covered on this site.
Cost
The attachment pricing is the real criticism
The TRINITY+ on its own does nothing. Every capability is an attachment, each sold separately, and the full set costs more than the handle. For a device already at the premium end, that is a lot of unbundling.
Practical consequence: check exactly what is in the kit you are buying. A starter kit with one attachment is a different product from a complete set, and the listings do not always make that obvious.
Gel
The running cost nobody mentions
Every session needs conductive gel. The starter tube lasts weeks, not months. NuFACE would prefer you bought theirs; a generic water-based conductive gel works perfectly well for this device. What actually has to be in it.
Limits
What it will not do
- Nothing permanent. Stop the protocol and the effect fades. There is no finishing point.
- Nothing for skin quality. Texture, tone and redness are LED territory.
- Nothing for genuine laxity. That is radiofrequency.
- Nothing if you do not do the protocol. Five sessions a week for sixty days is the entry requirement, not a suggestion.
In detail
Every pick, and why
Best microcurrent device overall
NuFACE TRINITY+
NuFACE · Best for anyone serious about the protocol
Up to 340 microamps, plus 25 from Boost. Clearances K201782 for the device and K212947 for the Wrinkle Reducer attachment. Two-year warranty. A skin sensor that adjusts output by area. The handle is only half the purchase, and that is the main criticism.
The reference microcurrent device: swappable attachments, an app, a published microamp ceiling and the deepest clearance history in the category.

FDA clearance located
510(k) K201782 (NuFace Trinity Plus Device, cleared 22 January 2021, product code NFO - over-the-counter powered facial toning). The Wrinkle Reducer attachment carries its own clearance, K212947 (2 April 2022, product code OHS).
What works
- Publishes its actual microamp output, which most of this category refuses to do
- Two located clearances, one for the device and one for the LED attachment
- Two-year warranty is the longest here
What does not
- Attachments are sold separately and add up fast
- Needs conductive gel every session, which is a running cost
- The app is a convenience, not a reason to buy

Honest counter-case
Who should skip it
- Anyone with an implanted electrical device. Hard contraindication. Full list.
- Anyone unsure they will do five sessions a week. Buy the MINI+ first.
- Anyone who wants one purchase rather than a system. The attachment model will irritate you.
- Anyone who wants variety in the treatment. ZIIP's waveform library is the alternative.
