LED masks with neck coverage, and the second purchase nobody mentions
The neck ages visibly and sits outside the edge of every face mask on the market. Both major brands solve this by selling you a second device.

Disclosure: Glow & Current earns a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It does not change which device wins or what we say about it — here is exactly how we are funded, and here is how we evaluate devices.
Here is a thing the category does not advertise: every face mask on the market ends at the jawline. The neck, which is thinner-skinned, gets less sun protection and shows age earlier than the face, is outside the device entirely.

Geometry
Why no mask covers both
A face mask is shaped to sit on the cheekbones, nose bridge and forehead. The neck is a cylinder that moves when you swallow. One flexible sheet cannot hold both surfaces at a consistent distance, and distance is what governs delivered irradiance. Both major brands concluded that two devices is the honest answer, and on the engineering they are right.
What is less honest is the pricing. Two devices is two full purchases, and the neck panel is rarely discounted alongside the face mask.

Is the second device worth it?
Alternatives
What else reaches the neck
- Microcurrent. Handheld devices go wherever you point them, and the neck is a normal part of a NuFACE or ZIIP routine at no extra cost. The neck-focused microcurrent page covers this.
- Radiofrequency. Same advantage: a handheld RF device treats the neck as another area. TriPollar's protocol is four minutes per area and the neck is simply one of them. See the face and neck RF roundup.
- A red light panel. A panel on a stand covers face, neck and chest at once, at the cost of having a panel in your bedroom. We compare masks and panels directly.
That last point is worth sitting with. If neck and chest coverage is the thing you want, a mask plus a neck panel is two purchases that a single panel would have covered, and the panel publishes its irradiance more often than masks do.
In detail
Every pick, and why
No. 1 · Best neck panel
Omnilux Contour Neck and Decollete
Omnilux · Best for matching an Omnilux face mask
108 diodes at the same stated ~30 mW/cm2 as the face mask, across neck and upper chest. The published irradiance is the whole argument: it is the only neck device here where you can reason about the dose at all.
A separate flexible panel for the neck and chest, running the same two wavelengths as the face mask.
Specifications
| Wavelengths | 633 nm, 830 nm |
|---|---|
| LEDs | 108 (54 red, 54 near-infrared) |
| Irradiance | ~30 mW/cm2, brand-stated, not independently verified |
| Coverage | Neck and upper chest only |
FDA clearance not located
Omnilux states FDA clearance. No 510(k) record located under this device name in the public database.
What works
- Purpose-shaped for the neck, which a face mask cannot reach properly
- Same published irradiance as the face mask
- Can run back to back with the face mask
What does not
- A second full purchase to cover an area some rival masks include
- Doubles your session time if you treat both areas
- No published warranty
Specifications from Omnilux product page, checked 13 October 2026.
No. 2 · Best match for a CurrentBody routine
CurrentBody Skin LED Neck and Dec Perfector
CurrentBody · Best for already owning a CurrentBody mask
Shaped for the neck and collarbone, same ten-minute session as the face masks so it slots into an existing routine. No located clearance of its own and no published irradiance, so you are buying the fit.
A silicone neck and chest panel sized to pair with CurrentBody's face masks.
Specifications
| Coverage | Neck and decolletage |
|---|---|
| Session | 10 minutes |
| Irradiance | Not published by the manufacturer |
FDA clearance not located
No 510(k) record located under this device name. Related CurrentBody clearances on file include K250966 and K260715 for the face masks.
What works
- Shaped for the area a face mask physically cannot cover
- Same session length as the face masks, so it slots into the same routine
- Flexible silicone conforms to the collarbone
What does not
- No located clearance of its own
- No published irradiance
- A second device for an area some rivals cover in one
Specifications from CurrentBody product page, checked 13 October 2026.
No. 3 · Most face coverage, still not the neck
CurrentBody Skin LED Multi Light Therapy Mask (Series 3)
CurrentBody · Best for accepting the limit
750 diodes and six wavelengths, and it still stops at the jaw. Included here to make the point: diode count does not buy you neck coverage, geometry does.
CurrentBody's current flagship: six wavelengths and 750 diodes, the highest published count of any consumer face mask we tracked.
Specifications
| Wavelengths | 633 nm, 830 nm, 1072 nm, 415 nm blue, 532 nm green, 590 nm yellow |
|---|---|
| LEDs | 750 bulbs |
| Irradiance | Not published by the manufacturer |
| Session | 10 minutes, 3-5 times a week |
| Clearance | K260715, 3 June 2026, product code OHS |
FDA clearance located
510(k) K260715 (CurrentBody Skin LED Multi Light Therapy Mask, model MK-110D, cleared 3 June 2026, applicant The Beauty Tech Group, Ltd., product code OHS).
What works
- A located, current 510(k) for this exact model
- The only mainstream mask carrying blue, green and yellow alongside red and near-infrared
- Highest published diode count in the category
What does not
- Still no published irradiance, so 750 diodes is a count and not a dose
- The green and yellow evidence base is far thinner than red, near-infrared and blue
- You are paying for three wavelengths most buyers will never select
Specifications from CurrentBody product page; FDA 510(k) K260715, checked 13 October 2026.
